Tidewater Sharks

Have you ever wondered what Left Shark used to do before they became famous? It may have been as a mascot for the Tidewater Sharks of Norfolk, Virginia. For the 1975-76 season, the Sharks joined the SHL and played their games at the Norfolk Scope arena. The Sharks finished sixth in their debut season, missing the playoffs. They had better success in their next season, finishing with a 26-13-2 record before the team and league dissolved in January 1977.
