Mohawk Valley Comets

When the EHL disbanded, the Clinton Comets were sold off and bought by a consortium from neighboring Utica, New York. After two decades of hockey in Clinton Arena, the Comets relocated to the NAHL and became the Mohawk Valley Comets. They would have mediocre success in the NAHL, making the playoffs three out of four seasons but never ending up with a winning record. Following the 1976-77 season, the team was offered up for sale, but with no takers, it folded. Soon after, the NAHL was disbanded.
