Anchorage Wolverines
From 1973-78, the Anchorage Wolverines were an independent senior league club. At the Anchorage Sports Arena, they competed against numerous in-state and out-of-state clubs. As far as we know, none of their players ever made it to the NHL. However, they were initially coached by Milan Marcetta, who spent many years in the WHL and a few years in the NHL with Minnesota. Later, they were coached by Kelvin "Brush" Christiansen, who went on to coach the University of Alaska - Anchorage team in the 1990s.
