Richmond Wildcats
Except for a few facts, little is known about the Richmond Wildcats. They played in the SHL at the Richmond Coliseum during the 1976-77 season. Their coach was Forbes Kennedy, who played over 600 NHL games in the 1950s and 1960s. In what was likely an effort to make a splash, they signed Bill Goldthorpe as well. The team only lasted 38 games though, as both the league and the franchise folded in January of 1977.
