Columbus Stars
The Columbus Stars were a short-lived UHL team who played their home games at the Fairground Coliseum in 2003-04. The Stars were the city's first minor league hockey club since the Chill left in 1999, but the Blue Jackets were already in their fourth season and drew large numbers, so more hockey teams weren't really desired. On the field, the Stars performed admirably, winning 61% of their games in the A-level UHL. However, the squad failed to generate more than 1,000 supporters every game and folded after only 34 games out of a scheduled 76.
