San Angelo Outlaws
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, the San Angelo Outlaws competed in the WPHL and CHL at the San Angelo Coliseum. In their debut season, 1997-98, the squad filled the Coliseum and advanced to the WPHL playoffs. They would continue that success in their second season, winning 39 of 69 games and reaching the playoff final. They were defeated in the final by Shreveport.
The Outlaws would return to the WPHL for two more seasons before the league joined with the CHL in 2001. The Outlaws finished last in their division in 2001-02, their final season in the CHL before rebranding as the San Angelo Saints. The Saints would play three seasons in the CHL in front of dwindling audiences before folding at the end of the 2004-05 campaign.
