For the 1983-84 season, the Montana Magic were a one-year wonder in the CHL. The franchise relocated north from Wichita, Kansas, where they were known as the Wichita Wind. The Wind and Magic have one of the most unique logos from the old CHL. Unfortunately, the Magic lacked magic on the ice, winning only 20 of 74 games that season. The CHL disbanded after the season, and the team followed suit.
