Baltimore Blades
The struggling Michigan Stags dissolved in the middle of the 1974-75 season and were taken over by the WHA league office. In late January 1975, the league relocated the franchise to Baltimore, renaming it the Blades. The Blades finished the season in the Baltimore Civic Center, but they were unable to find success on the ice or with spectators. At the end of the season, the league considered transferring the team to Seattle, but ultimately folded the Blades.
