New York Golden Blades
For the 1973-74 season, the New York Raiders were sold and renamed the Golden Blades. The New York Golden Blades continued where the Raiders left off, playing second fiddle hockey in Manhattan, NY. True to their name, they skated with white skates that had golden blades, maybe the first team to use such a color scheme on their skates. However, they suffered the same troubles as the Raiders and folded, allowing the WHA to take over midway through the season. In the middle of the season, the team relocated to New Jersey and became the Jersey Knights.
