Taconite Hornets

During the 1950s and 1960s, the Taconite Hornets were a senior level team from the Iron Range in Taconite, Minnesota. During this time, the Hornets were a dominant force, capturing four Minnesota Senior "A" championships in 1955, 1962, 1965, and 1968. They wore a number of different styles of jersey, but probably the best one was the red, white, and blue version with a cartoon hornet!
