Greensboro
Greenboro, North Carolina joined the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) in 1959. The squad marked the start of a lengthy history of minor league hockey in the city. They won one championship in the Greensboro Coliseum in 1963, under long-time coach Ronnie Spong. After the EHL folded in 1973, they joined the SHL, where they remained until 1977, when it, too, folded.
