San Diego Mariners

After relocating from New Jersey, the San Diego Mariners joined the WHA for the 1974-75 season. The Mariners had three great seasons in San Diego, making the postseason three times and reaching the second round two times. They didn't do well in terms of attendance, and were eventually sold to a group that planned to relocate the club to Florida. That never happened, and the team disbanded in the middle of 1977. At the very least, they left an excellent marine logo!
