Alexandria Warthogs
At the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana, the Alexandria Warthogs participated in the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) for a total of two seasons. The 1998–1999 season was their debut and they finished with a record of 25 wins and 69 losses. In their second campaign, they won just 21 out of 71 games, which was hardly an improvement. In both seasons, they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, and after just two years of operation, the Warthogs folded. They are the only professional hockey team that has existed in Alexandria.
