The Cincinnati Mohawks are a historic franchise, and were the first pro hockey team in Cincinnati way back in 1949. They played at Cincinnati Gardens and were one of the most dominant IHL franchises ever, winning five straight titles from 1953 through 1957. The Mohawks sported a number of future big leaguers throughout the years including Fred Shero, Emile Francis, Bud MacPherson and Don Marshall. Harry Howell and Vic Howe also played a game or two in Cincinnati to add to the list.
We are proud to offer replica 1950-51 Cincinnati Mohawks jerseys as our latest release! We've recreated the Mohawks' sweaters down to each little detail. This jersey is a cut and sew jersey, meaning the all the stripes and 'Cincinnati' will be fully embroidered. The Mohawks wore an 'M' on each sleeve and had each player's number on both their chest and back. We've also matched their striping pattern using modern production methods. To spare no detail, the captain's C on the opposite side of the chest, just like the Mohawks did. It also includes a red lace neck for the true old school hockey feel.
