Our latest Small Batch Sweater release features the Taconite Hornets from Minnesota's Iron Range! For only three weeks - we will be offering replicas of Taconite Hornets sweaters for pre-order with delivery scheduled for December. Pronounced ta-kuh-nite, the Taconite Hornets were a senior level team from the Iron Range in Taconite, Minnesota during the 1950s and 1960s. The Hornets were a force during this era, winning four Minnesota Senior "A" championships; 1955, 1962,1965, 1968. We've created a photomatched replica to the Hornets' red, white, and blue sweaters with their amazing Hockey Hornet logo.
Our Small Batch Sweaters are very limited releases for sweaters that we plan on releasing once and then likely never again. We love all the 200+ unique teams that we offer and continue to do the research and design work to make them as accurate as possible but it's not feasible to consistently offer sweaters for all of them; thus the idea for Small Batch Sweaters was born.
This jersey is a cut and sew jersey, meaning the all the stripes, logo and 'Taconite' lettering will be fully embroidered. Optional name and numbers are heat pressed, with a stitched name bar. While the players likely didn't wear names on the backs of their jerseys at this time, you are welcome to add a name if you choose.
Our jerseys are modern replicas that capture the spirit of the vintage logos and styles from these teams. They are tough and durable for playing use while also high quality, comfortable jerseys for fans.
