Our latest Small Batch Sweater release features a very unique upstate New York team, the Plattsburgh Pioneers! For only three weeks - we will be offering replicas of Plattsburgh Pioneers sweaters for pre-order with delivery scheduled for March.
The Pioneers played only 17 games in the QMJHL in 1984. The team was hastily put together as the league's first expansion to the USA. Unfortunately, the on ice product wasn't good and the team didn't last long. However, the Pioneers had pretty sweet red, green, and white jerseys. We have a blurry news clip of their home jerseys but we've never actually seen their away jerseys. But we figured that green looks way cooler than white and put together what we would guess their away jerseys probably looked like. It's the same striping pattern as their homes, just with a color swap.
Our Small Batch Sweaters are very limited releases for sweaters that we plan on releasing once and then likely never again. We love all the 200+ unique teams that we offer and continue to do the research and design work to make them as accurate as possible but it's not feasible to consistently offer sweaters for all of them; thus the idea for Small Batch Sweaters was born.
This jersey is a cut and sew jersey, meaning the all the stripes and logo will be fully embroidered. If you would like a Pioneers jersey with name and number, please order the custom pre-order jersey.
