Albuquerque Six Guns
The CHL's Albuquerque Six Guns, who competed in the 1973–74 season at Tingley Coliseum, were a one-season club. Despite their short tenure, they left behind one of the greatest logos ever and were the first professional hockey team in the state of New Mexico. They had a cartoon gun-slinging character who also carried a hockey stick and wore skates. Their colours were blue and red with yellow mixed in. The team was awful. They only managed to win 16 of their 72 games that season before folding at the end of the campaign owing to financial issues. Nonetheless, we thank you, Albuquerque, for this awesome cartoon hockey player!
