St. Jean Castors
The St. Jean Castors franchise started play in 1969 as the Sherbrooke Castors, where they won three league titles. The Castors moved to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, after the 1981-82 season and played at Colisée Isabelle-Brasseur.
The Castors played seven seasons in St. Jean, making the playoffs each year and spoting an amazing logo featuring a hockey playing squirrel. A few famous players to wear the squirrel were Benoit Hogue, Michel Petit, and Gerard Gallant. The Castors would rebrand as the St. Jean Lynx in 1995.
